This water distiller is perfect for the limited countertop space i have living full time in my RV. Water quality can vary from location to location along with the cost of bottled water. This water distiller provides inexpensive and consistently pure water no mater where we are. This is our second time buying this model. The one we gave to our son has been serving him faithfully and daily for over 18 months.

This is a very versatile piece of equipment. For water distillation it is basically ready to go. For everything else you'll need some kind of power controller. They choice is yours, but I went for a pulsed SSR. The cheap SCR stuff on the interwebs are crap.
They say it is 750W, but mine runs at 800W. More power to the people :D
The plastic container is not necessary, they could have left that out and dropped the price accordingly. It also is not obvious how one would get a hold of replacement parts.
Overall, a great product at a great price level. Hard to beat this!
