Unit works great so far, I installed it under back seat in my 2006 dodge 3500 for extra heat in our nasty Canadian winters.

Not sure why the misleading rating of 8kw, this is exactly the same unit as another 4kw I have. Fuel lines have to be upgraded, included lines and clamps are crap. The unit seems to be running fine. Would be nice to have bluetooth as in newer controllers but this is not a deal breaker for me.

I was a bit unsure about this purchase not having any experience with this sort of equipment. The installation took me several days due to the custom work I did to conceal everything but I am pleased with the outcome and the performance of the heater. My install was into a campervan but I would recommend this equipment for any application needing auxiliary heat.

good product :) this is sold as 8kw, but is exactly the same as 5 kw, same fuel consumption size and heat. this product does not exist as 8kw, I was aware of this. anyway a good and reasonable 5 kw :)

You can get cheaper heaters, and you can get heaters with more bells and whistles, but this is, in my opinion, the best of both worlds. I have used well over a dozen heaters, everything from a simple dial to turn it on, to "fancy" units with WiFI and Bluetooth. I have two of these in my bus, one in my truck and one in my buddies 4Runner... Never had an issue with any of them, and they just work well. No heater is perfect, and if you are a newcomer to heaters, I suggest you do a LOT of research / watch a LOT of videos so that you understand how these units operate. They are not like any other heating system, so if you expect them to work like other heating systems, you may be disappointed. The main thing people are confused about is that MOST of them, including this one, doesn't really have a functional thermostat, like the one in your house. The "auto off" and "auto start" function doesn't work well for these heaters as they take a few minutes to heat up and cool down. They also eat up a lot more battery starting and stopping than they do under constant operation. Instead, these heaters increase or decrease fuel consumption (and heat output) to maintain a desired temperature. End of rant.

Good price and quality ratio. Quite easy to install all the pipes, and use the LCD screen. Proper tools are recommend to do the installation easier.

Great unit. Packed well. All parts included except fuel (Shock horror). Easy to assemble. Even the village idiot could do it,me. Needs a 12volt 20amp supply to start but amps drop down after the unit is running. Fill with fuel. Disconnect the fuel line. Prime until fuel is near the end of the line (See utube howto's). Re connect and hit the start button. The stars in the heavens will explode with a blinding light and you will be showered in praise from the gods as the unit roars into life.
