It's really impressive. In less than 2 minutes it pulls really good vacuum of 0.02 Bar or 15 Torr which is more than good enough for degassing silicone. It's really fast and quiet at first and there's almost zero leakage. Honestly I didn't expect something this good for the price.

`Just received the pump, assembled it in one minute by hand (no tools or lube, so probably not a perfect seal), read the warnings, and turned it on. The pump is very quiet, beyond what I expected. It pulled the 3gallon chamber to -0.95 bar in about 30-40 seconds, enough to destroy a small balloon I accidentally left in the chamber. :) The pump produces some vapor (it isn't really smoke I think) past -0.5 bar, but from what I read this is normal behavior. It holds the vacuum impressively well. Remarks: 1. The oil in the pump was at min-level, so I had to add most of the extra bottle to get it to almost max. 2. The pressure gauge wasn't entirely filled with glycerin (not sure whether that is a quality issue, but still). 3. There are no 'convenient' handles on my 3gallon chamber, it's just a pot.

Since this is my very first vacuum pump in life, I don't know if it's normal for oil mist or smoke to come out of the filter when evacuating.

Ottimo prodotto per uso hobbistico, raggiunge senza problemi -1Bar e il kit è subito funzionante. Attenzione al filtro, per natura queste pompe dopo i -0.6 / -0.7 bar iniziano a nebulizzare l'olio di lubifricazione, per questo vi conviene sostituire il filtro con uno professionale o che sia in grado di trattenere la nebulizzazione dell'olio. Come potete vedere ho creato un supporto filtro stampato in 3d.

Very good value for money, easy to operate, small&easy pump, fast vacuum as described. I recommend using a cold trap/condenser before the vacuum pump inlet, to remove all humidity from the chamber. The oil will haze quickly if you have water in the oil and the final vacuum will be compromised.
