We purchased the press not for its usual use but to try to straighten the warped vinyl records. The temperature adjustment is perfect, it's a pity that the timer is set in seconds, but since it wasn't designed for the use we are making of it, it's obviously fine as it is. After the first tests removing the supplied mats and inserting some felt, I would say we are satisfied!!
