These spears are great! The design of the tapered socket that the spear goes into is pretty slick. The steel isn’t heat treated as far as I can tell but these are heavy duty and shouldn’t give you any trouble as far as durability. No stress on picking up a 1200 lb bale. I would recommend for sure.

These are excellent!! They're very sturdy, very smooth, and very well built. We pick up 1200 lb bales and they work wonderfully. My guy has made new pockets on the backhoe bucket so that they will fit in properly for the unit that we have. I'm so glad we finally have some hay spears! He added the dimples cause we have to slide the spears into the pockets that he made on the bucket edges and hold them in with a bolt that he welded into each pocket. He also had to put some paint on them so that he would know which one went to which pocket. They come without all the extra spray that he put on them. all the extra spray that he put on them.
