While there are a lot of heavy vices that you can buy this one surprise me in terms of high quality finish I love the soft covers for delicate materials and the well-made locks to keep it from turning. And you can't beat the price!

Bought this to replace a 4 inch vise that had developed a lot of sloppy in the lead screw. This new vise is heavy and strong. The rotating head is very smooth and the larger anvil is very useful. Packing was very good and it arrived undamaged.
