Q1: What type of pergola can this bracket be used to build?
A1: This is a 3-way T bracket, ideal for building a double flat-roof pergola. It connects the horizontal beams to center posts.
Q2: What types of wood or surfaces are compatible for installation?
A2: Softwood (e.g., pine, spruce, Douglas fir) allows direct screw installation. For hardwood (e.g., red/white oak, teak, redwood), pre-drilling is recommended. The brackets can also be mounted on concrete, lawn, or deck surfaces.
Q3: Are the brackets weatherproof for outdoor use?
A3: Yes. The surface features a black powder coating that helps slow down rusting and withstands rain and sun exposure, making it suitable for outdoor use.
Q4: How do I choose the right wood size for different bracket specs?
A4: For 4'' x 4'' brackets (inner size: 3.62'' x 3.62''), use 3.5'' x 3.5'' wood posts. For 6'' x 6'' brackets (inner size: 5.59'' x 5.59''), use 5.5'' x 5.5'' wood posts.
